Peer Evaluations

The papers submitted by my peers were great. Most of us have a variety of interests and it showed when I was reading the papers.

Terri Blancho- Neat side facts such as the Indianapolis speedway facts. I learned a lot.
Jolene Pennington-A little long. I think it needed to be more like a term paper without all of the primary sources.
Eddie Kearns-Great Job. My Mom worked at the ammunition plant and told of an incident in which a woman's hands were blown off and someone came behind her and told everyone they didn't see anything.
Debbie Shaffer-Really good. My Dad worked for the MKT and he had to move to Arkansas when the merger took place.
Diane Reeves-Great job covering the town. You condensed it into a nice sized paper.
Greg Traxon-You had a lot of details that I would have overlooked if I would have been researching.
Julie Dunham-It was good. Could have been better.
Mark Boyd-A little too long. Good job. Was a little wordy in some places.
Mike McEwan-Great founding story. Excellent information, the history of small towns and how they survive is always interesting.
Michelle Piva-The way people spend leisure time today is very similar to then. Independence also received a Carnegie Library.
Tracy Hutton-Really good paper. Great Kansas historical information. Very graphic details on how Alexander died.
Patrick Moss-The fact that PHS was not segregated surprised me. Great job. Well written and you covered all of the schools thoroughly.
Faith Rosson-Fascinating stuff. All of that history in a small town was very well written.
Mark McFarland-Really good job. You explained a lot of what Mike Martin told us a couple of summers ago.
Mary Colvin- Good job, you covered Parsons very well.
Steven Clark-As good as I thought it was going to be. You wrote the history of Douglas School very well.
T.J. Warsnak-Great information. You gave some great information about relations between blacks and whites such as sports teams, churches, and hotels.
Tamara Ponce-Good information about the families and how the strikes affected the whole town and those associated with the area.
Bill Wolfe-Good job. I am going to use some of your sources to find information about Independence.
